For many people around the world, this is becoming a frequent reality. Removing access to information by shutting, or slowing down, the internet is not only a serious violation of democracy and human rights. Access to information can sometimes be the difference between life and death.

To meet the growing repressions of internet shutdowns Civil Rights Defenders has created off.guard – a tool that allows you to stay up to date even if access to the internet is removed or tampered. Off.guard creates a feed with critical information, where all posts are kept updated even during poor internet connection. The latest posts are also available offline.

Off.guard is currently supported on android devices using google chrome.
